A Healthy Appointment for Zed PR
Zed PR has appointed respected healthcare and consumer PR Consultant, Emma Owen. Moving to Zed PR fresh from Alliance Boots where Owen was responsible for the national and regional PR roll-out of ‘Your Local Boots Pharmacy’ shops, she will be responsible for Zed PR’s growing portfolio of healthcare and wellbeing clients.
In addition to Alliance Boots, Owen’s healthcare clients have included Olay, Clairol, Johnson’s and Evian. With a solid consumer background, she also spend five years as the Press Officer for Madame Tussauds, managing celebrity wax sittings and the accompanying global PR campaigns.

Macmillan Coffee Morning
This years Zed PR coffee morning, held for the companies with which it shares The Old Linpac Building, again raised over £200 for Macmillan Cancer relief.

New snippet: Zed PR’s New Administrator
Zed PR has a new administrator.
Alison rejoined Zed PR in February 2007 as its Business Administration Manager, having previously provided administrative support for the company in its infancy.
Alison brings many years of administration experience to Zed PR, having worked in London for such institutions as the Bank of England, Merrill Lynch and, for more than nine years, at the merchant bank, Schroders.
Business Guru Finds Winning Match in Zed PR
Zed PR is celebrating the win of UK entrepreneur’s resource centre, www.Nick-James.com, as a new client. Following a successful pitch, Zed is hard at work introducing the site, and its “rags-to-riches” director Nick James, to regional and business media.
Drawing on Nick James’ own experiences, which saw him rise from car park attendant to successful businessman, www.Nick-James.com is an online-club for budding entrepreneurs wanting to generate some cash. The site meets an important market need, offering small businesses and start-ups its unique “human touch” advice and inspiration. With information ranging from marketing advice to ‘how-to’ features, the site is part business mentor, part online community for its members.
News Snippet: Ethical Company Status renewed
Zed PR has received renewed ‘Ethical Company Organisation’ stus - for the second year running.
It remains the only UK PR consultancy with this accreditation, and is the only PR company listed in The Good Shopping Guide.
“That’s Zara With a Zed”
PR consultant Zara Shirwan has joined tech and lifestyle PR consultancy, Zed PR, from London consultancy Four.
Shirwan, who previously worked for Four Communications in its Dubai and Leicester Square offices, is joining Zed PR to handle a variety of consumer accounts.
A Cambridge theology graduate, boasting an MPhil, Zara left academia to join Four Communications, where she worked across a variety of corporate, consumer, education and charity clients, including popular kid’s show ‘Pocoyo’ and the UK ‘Future Leaders’ teaching programme. In Dubai she managed the PlayStation PR account across the entire Middle East region.
ANALYSING TECHNOLOGY PR
