A Healthy Appointment for Zed PR

Emma OwenZed PR has appointed respected healthcare and consumer PR Consultant, Emma Owen.  Moving to Zed PR fresh from Alliance Boots where Owen was responsible for the national and regional PR roll-out of ‘Your Local Boots Pharmacy’ shops, she will be responsible for Zed PR’s growing portfolio of healthcare and wellbeing clients.

In addition to Alliance Boots, Owen’s healthcare clients have included Olay, Clairol, Johnson’s and Evian. With a solid consumer background, she also spend five years as the Press Officer for Madame Tussauds, managing celebrity wax sittings and the accompanying global PR campaigns.

Claire Thompson, Managing Director, Zed PR, said:  “We all know what the consequences are if you get blasted, snog the wrong person or photocopy your privates. But Christmas parties are supposed to be fun.  You work hard all year, someone’s spending a lot, so make the best of it.”

Macmillan Coffee Morning

Alison rejoined Zed PR in February 2007 as its Business Administration Manager, having previously provided administrative support for the company in its infancy.

Alison brings many years of administration experience to Zed PR, having worked in London for such institutions as the Bank of England, Merrill Lynch and, for more than nine years, at the merchant bank, Schroders.

It remains the only UK PR consultancy with this accreditation, and is the only PR company listed in The Good Shopping Guide.


“That’s Zara With a Zed”

PR consultant Zara Shirwan has joined tech and lifestyle PR consultancy, Zed PR, from London consultancy Four.

Shirwan, who previously worked for Four Communications in its Dubai and Leicester Square offices, is joining Zed PR to handle a variety of consumer accounts.

A Cambridge theology graduate, boasting an MPhil, Zara left academia to join Four Communications, where she worked across a variety of corporate, consumer, education and charity clients, including popular kid’s show ‘Pocoyo’ and the UK ‘Future Leaders’ teaching programme. In Dubai she managed the PlayStation PR account across the entire Middle East region.
