Strathmore springs a challenge!

A group of six employees from the Bristol based Matthew Clark drinks business are gearing up for the 100 mile Action 100 fundraising cycle ride for Action Research, the UK’s leading medical charity.

Richard McManus, based at the huge Matthew Clark distribution centre near Avonmouth decided to recruit a team after reading that AXA Sun Life raised over £2,300 last year setting a new record. The team is named after the Strathmore Mineral Water Company owned by Matthew Clark.

Richard and ‘Team Strathmore’ hope to set a new record for the sum raised at this year’s event on August Bank Holiday Sunday and have challenged any team or individual to beat their fundraising efforts.

Reading Rider Reaches Action 100’s 100

Reading’s Ali Chambers has been registered as the 100th rider for the 23rd annual Action 100 sponsored charity bike ride. Leading Charity Action Medical Research is challenging riders to pedal the 100 miles from Bath and Bristol to London on Sunday 29 August.
